Playful Garden is a beautiful and fun floral abstract painting using mixed media.
I firstly covered parts of the blank canvas in a textured gel which dries like rough sand as I wanted a textural element to this artwork. To help accentuate a rustic and natural feel to the painting.
Then I began to paint with my all time favourite medium of acrylics and created the overall aesthetics of the piece. As I got closer to finishing I felt the urge to use some oil pastel sticks to create some lovely textural line work and giving some small details to areas of the artwork.
